Are you visiting Copenhagen between 14 November and 14 December 2014? Then you should consider visiting this year’s edition of one of the most traditional Danish furniture events, namely The Cabinetmakers’ Autumn Exhibition, which this year takes place at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts.
This year’s exhibition is called Textility, meaning that focus is on challenging traditional notions of upholstered furniture. Through experimentations and new interpretations, the 34 exhibitors try to find new ways of furniture fabrics’ usability and aesthetics. Not least, the many new technological milestones that textile manufacturers constantly are setting will form the basis for new types of furniture – which nonetheless have connection lines to the classic furniture.
