Swoon fills in a gap in the market

Swoon is the name of this new easy chair, designed by architect studio Space Copenhagen (Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützow) for Fredericia Furniture. The ambition has been to create a small armchair, which fills in the gap in the market between the lounge chair and the conventional armchair. It has also been a goal to ensure as high a level of aesthetic elegance and convenient user comfort as possible.

Swoon is characterized by soft, sensual lines, reflecting that the chair largely is drawn by hand. The shell is moulded in one piece, thus making armrests, back and seat merge into a sculptural entity. The shell has a firm upholstery, which is balanced by the soft cushions of the seat and back. The legs are available in lacquered oak, oiled oak, smoked oak or black lacquered oak.
