Stingray becomes plain and gets fur

In 2002, Fredericia Furniture started up a collaboration with the young architect Thomas Pedersen, who as his graduation project at Aarhus School of Architecture had created the striking Stingray rocking chair.

With the sculptural form of the chair shell – shaped like a stingray – and the unconventional material combination of plastic and stainless steel, Stingray quickly became an iconic member of Fredericia Furniture’s product range.

Now, Stingray is introduced in new monochrome versions, where the chair’s shell and frame are made in the same color, respectively in black or white. This provides the chair with a more distinctive and elegant design expression.

For use along with Stingray, Fredericia Furniture has also launched a neck cushion in leather or fabric and a lambskin, giving the hard plastic shell a softer touch.
