The sun shone from a royal blue September sky, when HRH Queen Margrethe II and HRH Prince Henrik on September 2 visited the furniture company Onecollection in Ringkøbing. The visit was part of the royal couple’s summer cruise in Jutland.

Onecollection known for such its large collection of classic Finn Juhl furniture design, and it blends perfectly with the Queen’s big interest in Danish design.

The Queen has previously become acquainted with Onecollection, as the company also produces the chair Council Chair, which a few years ago won the competition for a new chair to the Trusteeship Council Chamber at the UN Headquarters in New York. Back then, it was the Queen, who unveiled the winning project, and this was also a topic of conversation during the royal visit.

During the visit, the royal couple was presented with the official gift from Ringkøbing municipality, which was a special edition of the Finn Juhl chair model FJ44 – also called “Bone Chair”. The special edition is made of walnut wood, with upholstery of Western Jutland mink.
