A “Museum Table” by Peder Moos (1906-1991) is for sale on an auction this autumn.
It is a rare coffee table made of solid rosewood with numerous posts of boxwood crafted in 1968 by the cabinet maker himself. The table is 57 cm high, 70.5 cm long and 52.5 cm wide and the valuation price is 40,000-53,000 EURO.
Peder Moos was one of the most uncompromising Danish furniture designers. He focused on the detail as a decorative element. He was, as only a few others, able to emphasize the wood’s organic character to perfection.
