From left: Antwerp, Como and Geneva are the first members of Eilersen’s new color universe.
The Danish upholstery furniture manufacturer N. Eilersen is known for upholstering its sofas with their own special fabrics that do not occur on other than just their furniture. The company searches for its textiles at the trade fair Proposte at Como in Italy, or they’ll have them specially designed and exclusively woven. This provides Eilersen with a wide variety of colors, textures and weaves, which can be combined crisscrossed with both uni- and multi-colored fabrics.
For the choice of fabric, colors play an extremely important role. Eilersen emphasizes that the furniture will help create harmony in a room, when the furniture, the fabrics and the wall colors should fit mutually, supporting and enhancing each other in perfect harmony.
Therefore, Eilersen has started working with Danish paint manufacturer Flügger to develop a color universe that supports the company’s goal of aesthetic harmony.
In collaboration with Flügger’s color architect, Anne Christensen, the first three colors have already been launched, bearing the names Antwerp (dark blue), Como (pink) and Geneva (gray-green). Another three new colors are on their way and will be ready for next season. This gives consumers the opportunity to create a complete interior, where both walls, design furniture and interiors are harmonized.
