Now the 48-series with the heart-shaped back is re-launched

House of Finn Juhl relaunches the 48-series from the 1940s, consisting of a chair and a sofa bench.

The organically shaped seat and backrest, padded with fabric or leather, floats over the supporting frame and gives the chair a very easy expression.

The piece of furniture is characterized by the use of several different materials, which is one of Finn Juhl’s characteristics.

In 1951, Finn Juhl designed the bench for American Baker Furniture, who named the bench “Rectangular Cocktail Table” – inspired by the 50’s American cocktail parties.

Finn Juhl just named the furniture for “bench” on his drawing, and therefore, today House of Finn Juhl has chosen to call it for the Cocktail Bench.

The piece of furniture, however, works both as a bench and a low, long table.
