Denmark’s largest furniture company – Tvilum, which manufactures flat-packed board furniture – has got a new CEO. It is the company’s sales director Andrew Long (45), who now takes over this position. He replaces American Robert Loring, who temporarily held the post after former CEO Peter Arndrup Poulsen’s departure in late October.
Andrew Long has been with Tvilum since the beginning of 2012. He has many years of experience in the kitchen industry, where he has been sales director at HTH in the years 1999 to 2008 and then commercial director of Kvik before he arrived at Tvilum. Originally, he is trained as furniture salesman, and has afterwards supplemented his education with an Executive MBA from Henley Management College in England, and a Diploma in Marketing from the University of Southern Denmark.
Tvilum is today one of the world’s largest manufacturers of board furniture with four factories that annually sends eight million pieces of furniture out to the world through an extensive dealer network. Since 2013, Tvilum has been owned by US private equity Revolution Capital Group.
