The Senti kitchen, which was introduced in the summer of 2015, is a part of the new Kvik design line.
Savings are growing in the Danish homes, and they also feel it in the kitchen companies – not least at Kvik, who in December rounds a turnover of one billion DKK. It is the first time in the company’s 32-year old history, that Kvik reaches the magic billion. The record turnover is also reflected at the franchisees, where average profit has grown by 50% from 2014 to 2015.
Along with the 135 franchise stores in 10 countries, this means that the Danish kitchen success now is mingling with the greatest retailers in Denmark.
Part of the success is due to the significant change of the Kvik design line over the past year and a half. Since Kvik in the summer of 2014 launched Tinta, a more youthful design with new opportunities for personalization, Kvik has increased traffic in their showrooms by seven percent. “The goal has been to add some exciting new products that should hit a new target group. And we have succeeded,” says CEO Jens-Peter Poulsen, Kvik.
“We have been out in stores and listen to the people who sell our kitchens – what do the customers want and what are their needs? This knowledge we have brought back to the factory in Vildbjerg, and this has led to a replacement of half of our product range with something better, nicer or cheaper,” Jens-Peter Poulsen adds.
In addition to Denmark, Kvik has activities in a number of other countries. Ambitions are to open another 25 new stores in Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands during the next three years. Especially, the Netherlands are an interesting market for Kvik, where growth has been nearly 50 percent over the past year.
