Big, soft sofas require qualified challenge if they should not dominate the living room completely. This is known by sofa manufacturer Eilersen, who has just relaunched furniture designer Erik Wørtz’ light, classic Safari chair from the 1960s.
With its slender wooden frames and its natural materials in the back and seat, the Safari chair is an optimal contrast to the large floating-sofas. The chair is made exactly as original drawings, and the only change in relation to time is that the colors and textures have been adapted to today’s trend.
The Safari chair comes in five different versions, with a choice between matt oiled, soap treated or black lacquered oak for the frame. Seat, back and armrests are made either in canvas – natural or black – or in leather in the colors natural, dark brown or black.
The Safari chair comes as a self-assembly kit.
