The Danish shelving system manufacturer Montana has got a new CEO. It is Joakim Lassen (51), who hitherto has been creative director of the company, mainly working with design and product development. He replaces former CEO Gitte Reymann, who has resigned.
According to the newspaper Børsen, the change of CEO happens because of the board’s wish for a more commercially oriented approach. Especially, the board has wanted to raise Montana’s turnover, which for some time has remained unchanged. Chairman Lars Nørby Johansen says that special efforts will be made to increase export sales.
In connection with the increased strategic focus, a new position as sales and marketing director of Montana has been established.
Joakim Lassen is the son of Montana’s founder Peter Lassen and has worked with the company for several years, during which he and his father have developed a number of its products.
