A group of Wegner’s famous Circle Chairs along their way through the manufacturing process at the PP workshop in Allerød.
The global demand for classic Danish design furniture is growing, and this is noticed by the joinery workshop PP Møbler in Allerød, which, among other things, produces furniture by Hans J. Wegner, Nanna Ditzel and others.
PP Møbler attaches the greatest importance to maintaining its production in Denmark, and therefore the management has decided to increase the workshop’s capacity. First, the company has started to expand its facilities with a 500 sqm large extension, which will house upholstery, packing and weaving workshop, and second, the company also needs to recruit five new colleagues in addition to the current 35 production craftsmen, the magazine 3F writes.
However, it is far from certain that these measures will be sufficient in the long term, since PP Møbler expects an annual growth of 10-15% in the coming years.
