After some difficult years overshadowed by the financial crisis, things now again are getting ahead for design furniture manufacturer Fredericia Furniture, according to the business newspaper Børsen. Both revenue and earnings are growing, and by 2018, the goal is to double the current turnover to a level of at least DKK 150 mill., the company’s CEO Thomas Graversen says.
In order to achieve its objectives Fredericia Furniture has taken a number of strategic initiatives: First, it was decided to supply its existing collection of relatively expensive, classic design furniture with a range of new models at lower prices. Secondly, efforts to boost sales in export markets have been stepped up, including expanding plans in the Nordic markets, particularly in Norway and Sweden, where Thomas Graversen sees a large, undeveloped potential.
