Furniture Seminar and Furniture Report 2019

There was high attendance for the recently held furniture seminar “How technology changes the furniture and interior design”.

The event was held by the Lifestyle & design Cluster and the Royal Academy of Arts’ School of Architecture, Design and Conservation.

The extensive and relevant program offered a range of pertinent knowledge to and about the Danish furniture industry.

Panel debates illuminated and provided inspiration for the future of the industry and furniture design, especially.

There were posts on topics such as data-driven marketing, blockchain, sustainability, 3d modelling, design and machine learning, among others with examples from Fritz Hansen and Kvik.

On the day, a furniture report published by the Wood and Furniture Industry and prepared by Lifestyle & Design Cluster was also reviewed and distributed.

The report consists of 18 business cases with examples of changed production and marketing methods with a focus on sustainability and digitalisation.
