Design furniture manufacturers Fredericia Furniture has been awarded the DI Trekantområdet Initiative Prize 2015. The award is given, both as a recognition that Fredericia Furniture – with its many furniture items by renowned furniture designers as Børge Mogensen, Nanna Ditzel and Hans J. Wegner – has managed to dominate Danish furniture design far outside Denmark, and because the company successfully has made the transition from being an owner-managed company to get a new management team to implement a new ambitious growth strategy and streamline operations.

At an event at the company on November 4, the prize was presented by Mr. Michael Bjerre, who is the chairman of DI Trekantområdet, and Mayor Jacob Bjerregaard, Municipality of Fredericia.

DI Trekantområdet is an East Jutland local branch of the large Danish industrial and trade organization Dansk Industri (DI). As a regional prizewinner, Fredericia Furniture will be one of the 19 candidates for DI’s great national initiative prize, which will be awarded in January 2016.
