One of Denmark’s most famous design furniture manufacturers, Fredericia Furniture, will as of September 1 make a change in its management, as the company’s former COO, Kaja Møller, takes over as CEO. She will replace the company’s owner, Thomas Graversen, who will continue with special responsibility for design and production.
The appointment of Kaja Møller is an important step in achieving the company’s ambitious growth plan for the coming years. “We have invested significantly and is experiencing growth in sales and market shares. But I also recognize that time is over for our management structure. Now we need to utilize all the available skills in the best possible way to reach our goals. Kaja Møller is the right person to control our growth plans through and streamline our operations,” says Thomas Graversen.
Kaja Møller has been a member of Fredericia Furniture’s board of directors since January 2013 until June 2014, when she was asked to be a part of the company’s management as COO. Kaja Møller has over 20 years of experience from leading positions in housing and design companies like Georg Jensen, Magasin du Nord and IC Group. She has particular experience in the implementation of corporate strategies and change management for growth, increased productivity and improved bottom line.
Fredericia Furniture has experienced strong growth in recent years. In 2014, the company had a revenue growth of 15 percent, and also in 2015, double-digit growth is expected. The company’s ambition is to establish itself as an international design brand. Today, Fredericia Furniture makes approximately 30 percent of its sales outside Denmark, and the company sees a great potential to increase its export share.
