There is often a special occasion when upholstery furniture specialist N. Eilersen launches a new product. This also applies to Fatty, which is the name of a new, opulent floating sofa, and which has been launched on the occasion of the coming opening of a new N. Eilersen showroom in New York.
Fatty is a reinterpretation of a previous Eilersen success: The Baseline couch, which was launched 15 years ago and over the years became one of the company’s greatest hits.
Fatty is characterized by a broad, low back and armrests and a deep seat. The wide armrest is a practical place for a putting tray or a book – or it works just as a comfortable headrest or a supportive armrest. The sculptural shape makes Fatty suitable to be placed out in the middle of the room, and its modular design allows customers to freely determine the sofa’s appearance and dimensions.
Regardless of the layout, Fatty has a frame in solid Scandinavian pine, which is upholstered by the sandwich principle with stable foam built up in varying hardnesses, neither losing its shape or comfort. As Eilersen’s other sofas, Fatty is offered with a removable cover that can always be replaced if the desire for another fabric arises.
