Danish office furniture manufacturer Duba-B8 has been nominated for the prestigious CSR Strategy Prize in 2015 for working with CSR in all parts of its business.
The jury motivates the nomination of Duba-B8 as follows: “Despite its size, Duba-B8 demonstrates high ambitions and have thought CSR into the very core of the business. Duba-B8 has rethought its business concept and developed new products, such as Total Cost of Ownership, to offer its customers the most sustainable solution. Duba-B8 also actively tries to affect the market in a more sustainable direction.”
At Duba-B8, Process & Quality Manager Anne Stokvad Madsen is very proud of the nomination: “We are very honored that our way of doing business is recognized. Sustainability and social responsibility are for us not an alternative choice. It is the only choice, and there is no discussion of whether it pays or not. Therefore, we work continuously with actions that deliver better working conditions and reduce environmental impact. Sometimes, initiatives also come from our customers. In this way, we are trying to push the standard for running a profitable business – both within ourselves, in the industry and in cooperation with our customers and partners.”
The CSR Strategy Prize is awarded by KPMG for a company that specifically shows that CSR or sustainability is conceived with the business strategy.
3 Danish companies are nominated for the prize, and the winner will be presented on October 7 in Vejle.
