Nikoline Tryde Hølund with her daybed Rem.
Danish furniture company Sofakompagniet is always looking for new design inspiration, and for choice, it goes for the raw and unspoiled ideas from young talents who are not necessarily educated as cabinetmakers or designers.
This was also the starting point for a design competition, which Sofakompagniet and the marketplace FindersKeepers launched in the autumn of 2015. The company received several hundred proposals, and 5 of them were selected for the finals, which, inter alia, were decided by online voting.
The contest was settled shortly before Christmas, and the final winner was Nikoline Tryde Hølund who had designed the beautiful and stylish daybed Rem, which has just been launched in the market.
Rem has a black-painted steel frame and is upholstered with light gray 67% wool. As a special effect, Rem is provided with elegant details in cognac colored leather.
