In the next editions of danishfurniture.dk, we present selected furniture from this year’s edition of the Cabinetmakers’ Autumn Exhibition, which is currently displayed at Øregaard Museum near Copenhagen. The theme of the exhibition is Petit, which means that every piece of furniture should not exceed 60 x 60 cm basal area. Photographer: Casper Sejersen.
Furniture architect Hans Sandgren Jakobsen is conceptualist of this beautiful drawer tower that can be seen both as a solitary sculpture in the room or as a practical storage unit which can be operated from two sides. The 10 identical drawer boxes can each be rotated 360 degrees horizontally. The drawer boxes are made of American walnut and European maple and produced in collaboration with Aksel Kjersgaard A/S.
