BoConcept: Successful entry into the contract market

boconcept_torinoBoConcept has developed the Torino table series directly for the contract market.

Visitors at this year’s furniture fair in Milan, who stopped by at the Danish LivingRoom pavilion, could here inspect a number of neat lounge furniture from the Danish furniture group BoConcept. This was, in fact, a pre-launch of the group’s latest venture, namely the BoConcept Business furniture concept, which is directed unambiguously towards the contract market, and for which the group has high expectations. In mid-May, the concept was also introduced throughout BoConcept’s international group of franchised dealers.

“Within the past nine months – i.e. before the concept has really been marketed – we have had a turnover of over 11 million euro on supplies to business interior projects,” says Per Nielsen, who is director of BoConcept Business. “In other words, there is an extra revenue waiting for us and our dealers when we seize the market in a professional way,” he adds.

When viewing the entire contract furniture market as a whole, there might be about 10 per cent of all interior projects that could be interesting and relevant to BoConcept Business, Per Nielsen assesses: “Our furniture will be particularly suitable for lounge areas and waiting areas, for restaurants and cafes, or for company headquarters. In addition, we see a very interesting niche in the furnishing of hotel apartments that are rented out for longer stays. It is a fast-growing market in major cities around the world.”

In some countries – for example UK and Japan – BoConcept dealers have already for some time provided furniture for the contract market. In Denmark, BoConcept has also participated in interior design projects, including meeting rooms and lounges at the company Modulex in Billund.

Per Nielsen can also tell that the first BoConcept piece of furniture, designed directly for the contract market, is now a reality. This is the conference and meeting table Torino that can be used in dispositions in numerous ways.
