Børge Mogensen designed the BM2 chair for Løgum Kloster (a Monestary in the city of Løgum) in 1958.
The chair is made of solid oak, black lacquered oak or smoked oak with a hand-woven paper cord seat, treated with soap and wax.
The round chair legs are made of a single piece of wood, and the steamed backrest has a shape that follows the natural anatomy of the human spine.
The small wooden wedge that collects the armrest is made following the most beautiful Danish craft traditions.
BM2 is manufactured by Bernstorffsminde – one of the oldest furniture carpenters in Denmark, dating back to 1837.
BM2 is a classic that is inspired by the shakers’ thinking and design language.
