A tribute to the master of details

In 1958, the famous Danish furniture designer Hans J. Wegner created the elegant and stylish sideboard CH 825, characterized by a sophisticated design with veneered sliding doors running in a track between double sides and a double rear, making the doors invisible when opened. For long, the sideboard has been out of production, but today it is a much demanded piece of furniture at auctions or among collectors. On the occasion of Wegner’s 100th birthday, Carl Hansen & Son now again relaunches this sideboard as a tribute to Wegner’s attention to details in the good furniture craftsmanship.

In the relaunched version, the sideboard’s body and sliding doors are made of oak or walnut, while the interior shelves and drawers come in oak. The frame comes either with round wooden legs or with a stainless steel frame, making the sideboard fit for many kinds of interior environments.

The CH 825 sideboard measures 220 x 80.8 x 49 cm. It will be available in stores in September 2014.
