In 2015, the Danish office furniture manufacturer Duba-B8 can celebrate the 100th anniversary of its founding, and the company has given itself a nice birthday present in the form of the 2014 financial accounts, which show strong revenue growth and stable earnings. The revenue amounted to 438 million DKK, which is a growth of 16% compared to the previous year, while the profit before tax was 8.5 million DKK, which is in line with the 2013 result.
In 2014, Duba-B8 consolidated its leading position as a supplier of office interior solutions to large business and public customers in Denmark and Norway. In Denmark, the domestic market was in 2014 characterized by an extraordinarily large demand for office furniture for the Danish schools, which were to be delivered within a very short timeframe. This was a result of a school reform, which ordered the schools to provide workplaces for teachers. Duba-B8 has had a large share of this order-boom, but also had significant costs to procure the necessary additional capacity.
Based on its sales office in Singapore, Duba-B8 has expanded sales to Scandinavian companies operating in Asia. In addition, services are also delivered to an increasing number of regional customers in Southeast Asia.
Expectations for 2015 are high, on both domestic and export markets, and Duba-B8 is planning new investments to strengthen the business in both Scandinavia and Asia.
Duba-B8 is number 39 on the latest list of Europe’s 50 largest office furniture manufacturers, made by the European office furniture organization FEMB.
