On Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at The Royal Library, the Wilhelm Hansen Foundation awarded Finn Juhl Prizes to Eske Rex and Anne Brandhøj, both working in the field between art, architecture, staging and furniture.
So did Finn Juhl, and in this way, this year’s two prize winners renew and carry on his bold and experimental furniture.
The founder of the Wilhelm Hansen Foundation, Hanne Wilhelm Hansen, formed a couple with Finn Juhl.
After his death, she gave two young furniture people from the company Onecollection in Ringkøbing, Ivan Hansen and Hans-Henrik Sørensen, a license to produce Finn Juhl furniture – today 20 years after this decision has developed into an international business adventure.
Ivan Hansen and Hans-Henrik Sørensen came on stage in the Queen’s Hall in a colourful conversation with Katrine Gislinge and Karen-Maria Bille.
The author Christian Bundegaard held a speech based on his new book about the protagonist: “Finn Juhl – life – work – world.
