The Society Table was designed in 1952 by Arne Jacobsen. The table was a gift for the American-Scandinavian Foundation in New York.

The table combines steel, veneer, leather and wood and was commissioned as a unique piece of furniture. The rare desk is now back in a slightly updated version at Carl Hansen & Son.

The Society Table, with model number AJ52, is available in two sizes: 140 x 70 cm. and 160 x 70 cm. The drawer unit has six drawers, which are optionally placed on the right or left side under the table.

The drawers are available in solid oak or walnut or black painted oak, and the corpus of the module is made of veneer. The table legs come with matching feet in solid oak or walnut or black painted oak. A table shelf with a lamp in brushed stainless steel is available as an option.
