Penguins in the central library in Oslo

At the beginning of 2020, the new central library in Bjørvika opens.

Here, the two million annual visitors will be welcomed by the furniture series Penguin from Brdr. Petersen.

Senab Eikeland, who is responsible for the interior design, has chosen all three variants, the armchair, the dining table and the rocking chair – all designed in 1953 by Danish Ib Kofod-Larsen.

We are honoured to supply furniture for such an exciting project as Oslo’s new central library, while at the same time spreading the knowledge of Ib Kofod-Larsen and continuing his beautiful work for future generations.
