The FSC Design Award has just been awarded for the 11th time.
The prize aims to inspire future designers to think sustainability into their designs and see the possibilities of wood as a natural element.
This year’s winner is Rikke Palmerston Christensen from Aarhus School of Architecture with the wardrobe furniture “Knægt”.
At the award, the judges emphasized the design and the living aesthetics of the solution.
63 design and architecture students from around the country exhibited their bid for a sustainable wood design of the future.
The many proposals for sustainable wood design were assessed by a jury consisting of among others Gitte Willemoe Matzen from FDB Furniture and Michael Kvist of Kvist Industries.
