Anyone with an interest in the Danish furniture scene knows Hans Sandgren Jakobsen, who for nearly 20 years has designed furniture for companies such as Fritz Hansen, Fredericia Furniture, Labofa, Orebo, Eilersen, Bernstorffsminde, Flexa4Dreams and Bred Furniture.
But perhaps it is news to some that Hans has a talented daughter with vision and edge.
On request, father and daughter now exhibit together at Baunhøj Mill in Grenaa.
Amalie’s installation art utilizes the large room using suspended textiles and a theme of bent metal plate in spatial triangles – painted with 50 coats of color.
Hans’s furniture designs are a natural part of the installation – furniture out of context – floating through textiles – visible from new angles.
The exhibition is open until April 2, 2017 Friday-Sunday. 13:00 to 17:00
