At the Milan fair, Isabel Ahm who, among others, works with the cabinetmaker Kjeldtoft, shows a completely new type of furniture – Kiddo.
The piece of furniture is made of laser cut veneer which enables anyone with access to the digital drawings to laser cut their own version of the furniture.
It takes place at the so-called “Maker Spaces” where anyone can come in off the street and get help with 3D printing, laser cutting, and more.
To create awareness of a brand-new type of furniture, the drawings for Kiddo are now available on Isabels’s website.
With this gesture, Isabel hopes that more will get the fun of creating something from scratch.
In this way Isabel shows us all that design is also to rethink your own business model.
