dk3 relaunches System Cado® from 1960

Poul Cadovius was an extremely visionary and alternative thinking problem solver.

As designer, manufacturer and inventor, he took out more than 400 patents.

In addition to the famous Royal System® rack system from 1948, he continued the step and in 1960 he designed the System Cado®.

The idea of this system is to move the furniture from the floor to the wall to give more space in the room.

The system consists of wall-mounted wooden panels with shelves and various drawers and cabinet modules, mounted directly on the panels with hidden panel suspension.

At the launch in 1960, the system also included tables, sofas and even a bed, and the idea of moving all furnishings from the floor to the wall was in this way completed with the System Cado®.

Now, dk3 relaunched the System Cado® in oak, smoked oak and walnut, and with cabinet and shelf modules in four different variants.

A strong thought – a unique solution – a stylish classic.
