In 1987, the book “40 Years of Danish Furniture Design – 1927-1966” was published in four volumes.
The work of Grete Jalk is considered a Bible for anyone interested in Danish furniture design’s golden age.
Now the four volumes containing a total of 1372 pages and 1780 photographs and illustrations are being republished.
The book shows all pieces of furniture presented at Copenhagen Cabinetmakers’ Guild Exhibitions from 1927-1966.
Grete Jalk’s book has gained a remarkable status over the years and has been extremely difficult and expensive to accumulate.
The new edition has a preface by Professor Per Mollerup – the content is an unchanged reprint of the original edition with text in both Danish and English.
